Going by LMP I'm 6weeks 3days. Had ultrasound today as I've had some spotting an the gestational sac was measuring 6weeks and they could only see the yolk sac.

I have to go back in two weeks to see but the guy that did the ultrasound said it looked ok just was earlier then I thought.

So any stories you have where this happened to you and turned out ok are welcome!

Yes! This pregnacy actually. Had a scan at 6 weeks and only saw a yolk sac. I went back in two weeks and saw a little heartbeat. since then this bubs has always measured a few days behind. Remember, even if you have the most regular cycle, a baby doesn't always implant on 7dpo.

Ive had quite a few episodes of spotting too.

Hoping that everything is ok, and you just have a late bloomer. Hugs xxxx

Same as Lou here... I had a scan done at 6 weeks. All they could see was the gest sac. The heartbeat is only just starting up.

I've had bleeds at 4 to 5, 9 and 12 and 15 weeks and Bub is still growing strong and being cheeky to not let us see the sex lol

I had an ultrasound done at 6 weeks and all that could be seen was a sac. This is not unusual. The foetus is only a tiny tiny spec- so its not unusual it can't be seen. I also bleed on and off through my last pregnancy and have a marvelous DD to show for it ....

Hi,
I've also had spotting (over two weeks now) with my current pregnancy (I am due in early May 2012). I've had spotting in both of my previous pregnancies and everything was fine.
Just had a scan last week (I was told that I was 8.5 weeks, instead of 9 weeks) and could see a heartbeat. I kept being told by everybody that if I didn't have cramps, that it should be ok. Yet, it's still hard not to panic and think the worst.
Hang in there and I'm hoping that everything will work out fine for you.

YES!! My sister had a scan at 4 weeks, and 7 weeks only a sac but it was getting bigger last scan last week HB was 168 bubs measuring 8w2d.
