Need some reassurance :(

Hi Chody, I'm sorry you have to go through this stress. Hopefully everything will be fine. I wanted to let you know that I chose a CVS test because I wanted to be tested ASAP with DS. My results were back within 2 days and I didn't pay any extra.

How did you manage that? My ob told me that couldn't happen (or perhaps she meant she couldn't make that happen for me..).

Thanks for your advice and support everyone. I have my next appointment with my ob next Friday (I moved it forward a week) so I'll she what she says then. I know my odds are still good, but it's hard not to worry that you might be that '1'. I know I can't change anything, but I just wish I could look in there for myself right now and see what's going on! I hate waiting for things at the best of times, but this is just horrible.

Such a stressful time, but I suppose you need to look at the positives that you have a higher chance of bubs NOT having downs.

But if bubs was a DS baby would that change your decision at all about having your baby. I know for me it wouldn't change that fact at all but would just allow me more time to process the information and know as much as I could by the time baby arrived.

Hopefully you will have some answers very soon.

I got my results back 30 mins ago and bubs is perfectly fine! And it's a girl!!!

Yay!!! It's the best feeling when those results come back and everything is O.K. I'm so excited for you. I remember exactly where I was when I got my good news, I'll never forget it. And a girl too..........................you must be just thrilled. Bigs hugs..
