    Unhappy Is it normal...

...to be this emotional at 10 wks??

Right now, I could burst into tears and fall in a heap on the floor but I'm in the worst mood ever.

Poor DH, he is so confused at the moment and we had a bit of an argument over the weekend coz he reckons I'm too "touchy" at the moment - to which I yelled back that I wish he was pregnant so he could see what it was like to have your hormones go bazerk!

I just feel so up and down all the time - it's exhausting!! One minute i'm happy, the next I could cry, then after that I could be angry......... I'm starting to get a little sick of being around myself too!!

Will this eventually go? Or should I expect to be stuck with this for the next 7 months...

every pregnancy is different, but yes your hormones will be all over the place. I don't know if it will last the whole pregnancy or just the 1st trimester. I find that just saying something like "I know I'm cranky, I'm sorry but I can't help it" can be really helpful.

A great book for DH's is Dad's pregnant too!, by Harlen Cohen. I gave this to my DH with our 1st pregnancy and he found it very helpful. It doesn't turn them off like a lot of women's book do, and it's not patronising to men (which I find so many pregnancy books/advisors are) here's a link: Home

My DH signed up for the pregnancy tracker email newsletter last time - he said it was very useful. It can give them a great insight into what you're going through and what bub is doing.

Haha, yes its very normal. That is exactly what i am like at the moment. The smallest things make me fall to pieces. If i see someone cry on tv im off and DP thinks its so funny! but my moods change very fast as well, i will be laughing and the next second ill be yelling.

I am always crying to DP saying he doesnt understand what its like. But i have been told that after the 1st trimester our hormones should calm down.

yep. normal. but as tashybabe said each pg. is differant. my 1st - i wasnt too bad untill the last two weeks. this one? i cried becuase the local woolies didnt have honey-soy chicken wings! its all fun and games. i think when we're UTD we should all be given a shirt "UTD - happy to angry in 0.006 seconds, wanna see?" or something like that hopefully it'll pass for you.
