    OK to 'climb' Mt Warning?

Ok, I can't believe I am asking this question, but here goes (because I feel totally irresponsible about it). My sister-in-law has asked me to climb Mt Warning this Friday (I will be 6 weeks pregnant that day). I'm not overly close to her, so I didn't tell her I was pregnant, I just said "we'll see what the weather is like" hoping it might rain and I can avoid the whole thing.

Well, as it turns out, it is forecast to be FINE on Friday. Ahh! Now I don't know whether to tell her the truth, tell a 'white lie', or just go. Is it strenuous? Too strenuous at this stage of my pregnancy? I have had 2 miscarriages last year so I am extremely anxious about this one, but don't want to stop living life and certainly don't want to avoid moderate exercise.

Please don't judge me for asking this - I'm almost more nervous about telling my SIL that I am pregnant than I am just doing the darn walk!

personally after 2 m/c I was told to avoid all strenous excercise wasn't allowed to use ride on go on rough boat rides etc

I would I dont know pretend you had a fall and have strained you ankle tell a white lie, I am sure she wont hold it against you once you are past the scary stage for m/c and feeling more ready to share with everyone

    :hugs: and congrats

and yes it is a big walk .......... you need to allow a few hours etc, so unless you are used to doing this sought of walkign another reason to avoid

Are you fit? I think it would have to depend on your level of fitness, plenty of women are able to hike during their PG. You may need to consider not letting yourself over heat.

Yea, I'm reasonably fit. I walk a few days a week and am not overweight at all but I haven't been doing any cardio exercise for months. I am seeing an OB for a 7 wk scan next week so am not sure whether this would be too strenuous for me. Believe me, I don't want to risk anything with this one and would rather 'lie' than do something silly. I wish I knew how tough the walk was...
