    I wouldn't, but then I would stay away from hospitals anyway. They're no place for the healthy.

    Also, if you have a positive pregnancy test, I don't understand why you would worry that you're not pregnant? If you want to tell people as soon as possible, do it.

    Sorry, to clarify TFB - it's done at a private clinic, but take your point about hospitals! It's more that I worry about something going wrong and not knowing (eg missed miscarriage).

    Olive I don't think I get a 12w scan? Is that the NT scan? If so I asked hospital about that and it's done privately too as it's optional...

    Check with your GP or whoever you're using through the pregnancy. I had scans at 12, 20 and 32 weeks (plus a few extras due to issues). Thought those three were standard across the board (unless you opt out). And I was private. I had dating scans for each pregnancy at a private clinic but they decided to bulk bill the fee so maybe check what the policy is at the clinic or ring around. Good luck!
