    Please help me

    Hi Everyone,

I am very new to this whole forum thing so please if i offend or do something wrong i apologize is advance. I am not new however at TTC we have been trying since September 2011 and had (another) miscarriage in November 2012 (number 14 )

I did a home pregnancy test the other day and got the faintest of faint lines so today i went to the GP and had my bloods done to say im devastated is an understatement my HCG level was 37

my partner REFUSES to give up hope and is that my levels will rise....... I have tried to tell him that as this stage my levels should be MUCH MUCH higher and that he needs to be prepared that we are back on the merry go round of then

has ANYONE ever had terribly low HCG and still go on to have a healthy pregnancy???????

Any help anyone can give me would be HIGHLY appreciated.

    Thank you everyone

    Re: Please help me

Your GP needs to follow your hcg don't give up yet hun. I've heard of low initial hcgs and then the number doubles normally 48 hours or so later.

It's not the first blood test that you have to be so concerned about. It's how they rise. Hopefully your numbers will shoot up and you have a healthy baby on board .

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Try to think positive until you are told otherwise. Hugs x

Do you know how many DPO (days past ovulation) you are? There is a massive range of levels that are OK so even a couple days could make a big difference between low and pretty good. If you had a super faint HPT that would indicate a low level of HCG which the blood test has confirmed, but if it is still early days it could just be that it hasn't got high just yet. Have you done another HPT test since the one the other day? Might be time for repeat test (HPT and blood) to see what change there has been.
Good luck, I hope this is the one for you!

I've read of others on this forum who have started out with low levels and then gone on to have a healthy baby.
Good luck with your next blood test tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you

    Hi Sagres,

Sadly i have no idea when i ovulated i wasn't tracking this month. I do know that my LMP started late on the 5th April and the last time that DP and i bedded was 19th (he works away)......

I think i am sooooooo anxious because i honestly have no other symptoms really, my boobs have been sore but only a little and not all the time (seem to be more sensitive at night) and i have been having hotflushes on and off...... sadly though i also have been having very very mild cramps and a brown discharge...

im going to do another HPT today (my afternoon ones always seem to be darker)and my blood test is tomorrow.... by my LMP i should be 4 +4 so i would expect a dark test......

Its just a waiting game now..... xxx

Thanks for the luck threegraces xxx

The ranges as the girls have said really are massively large. Keep praying that they will double appropriately don't worry about the numbers. And don't google too much as that messes with your head.
    Good luck!!

Progesterone pessaries are really common in assisted conception. FX for you! I used them following transfer of the embryo that is now DS.
