Hi, with my first bub I had a good u/s showing a heart beat (cant remember how far along I was though) I ended up losing him/her at 10 weeks. They did some tests & said there were no chromosomes (sp?) from my DH in bubs.
So it can happen, but I cant imagine it would happen often.
Try to stay positive (I know its so very hard to do when you're spotting) While I was PG with DD I started to bleed, bright red filling a pad, at 9 weeks, I thought "here we go again", I was heartbroken. But DD pulled through.
Sometimes you just lose a little blood throughout pregnancy. It's very common & most of the time (I think) they end in healthy babies!
Rest up & if the spotting continues or gets worse maybe book in for an u/s. Thats what I did when I had my bleed with DD, I had an u/s the following morning & seeing that heartbeat put my mind at ease.
Good luck & sending you bucketloads of sticky vibes. Hope all goes well.
