Sex when pregnant is perfectly fine unless your doctor has advised against it for some reason!

gee, hope not otherwise my bubba is in trouble!!!

Like Alan said, bubs will be fine - nice and protected. It's more about what you feel up for - pregnancy makes us tired, sick, sometimes sore and feeling big and heavy. Not always condusive to sex, but hey, if you're up for it, go for it

Hee hee, enjoy it while you can!! Its getting pretty uncomfortable and im only 24 weeks, make the most of it. Plus, its not going to be as easy once you have little bubba around If you are really worried, just ask your partner to take things easy and slow to start with.
    Have fun, Mel

Your baby is protected by your cervix and your waters. If you feel like having sex you go for it hun.

I read recently that it can't hurt the baby nor can it cause miscarriage. In fact babies can feel our orgasm and enjoy the feeling themselves (don't ask me how they know this).

Yep go and and have fun!!!!

in saying this, i've often wondered, in the very early stages of pregnancy, say under 10wks pregnant, does it 'increase' your chances of miscarriage?? I'm so worried it will because i've already had an early m.c so once i'm pregnant i think i'll be so worried the first few weeks!!!

Renstar - I read it can't cause m/c. We've been doing it regularly since this one was conceived and I've had no issues. If your doc tells you not to then that's a different matter altogether.

I think the mild contractions caused by female orgasm must be what the baby feels. And all those lovey sweet happy hormones. And makes Daddy happy. Aaand, to top it off, you're getting in some good quality cardio exercise. Sex during pregnancy is like a win-win-win-win situation.

=) the baby is in it's own little sac so nice and safe and snug,
the only thing I know of is later on, like near EDD, the muscle contractions from a female orgasm may stimulate contractions, and bring on labour.
But that's not to say go for it anyway!!

After my 3 early mc I asked my Dr. She said a healthy pregnancy is a healthy pregnancy and that she only puts the hold on sex if there is bleeding/spotting. She has seen many women who do crazy things or have accidents who never have a problem. In her opinion, in a strong pregnancy you can't shake it loose. (in a delicate pregnancy we don't really effect things much either)

In my mind it would be a shame to waste all those lovely hormones. For me sex when pregnant (until I get too big) is the best. I am sad as this is my last babe that I won't have the extra hormones for long.

Infact the only thing that puts me off sex when pregnant is the fact that they say that the babe likes it! Put my husband off too when we were pregnant with our first. Luckly we are over that. Like one of the other girls says its hard enough to find the time after you have kids you cant put it off for 9months!

    Lolol Milly ....

My DH first freaked out, but when we both realised it was all ok there is nothing to stop ... having said that I agree with the other girls, about being tired and hormones and m/s and all that but as it eases the desire persay comes backk ....
