    So outta breath why?

Im 9 weeks preggers and since falling preggers i have become outta breath. Its so frustration an example of this is.... i just washed the dishes not fast just normal and i am puffing and puffing im so out of breath. Walking or talking or even walking up stairs and i am out of breath. Im gonna see dr tomorrow cause this simply is not good enough. I cant fold washing or do anything even getting up to make a coffee i would be out of breath. I have asthma and have been taking that loads but gonna get re assesed and get a preventative as im all out.

is this normal in first trimester of pregnancy? Im still catching my breath now

I found with both my pregnancies I was very breathless even early on. I would however see your dr at your next antenatal visit probably not urgent unless its accompanied by blue around the lips, fingernails etc, chest pain etc. Maybe your asthma medication needs to be changed or you need to be on medication like ventolin or seritide if your not already. Cause of the extra blood in pregnancy which will only get worse as your pregnancy progresses your heart has to work harder.

    Hoping it eases for you.

I only developed Asthma while I was pregnant with DS. I had never had it before. I think you need to go and see a Dr, it could be your Asthma flaring up.

em.... in the past i used to take stertide but took myself off yes i know terrible me how can i manage it if i take the preventative away. Well the truth is i dont like taking things i dont feel i need only a few times a year. At times my asthma gets bad and i have to take tablets and go onto heavy duty stuff otherwise it would be months with out using my Ventolin. Normally my puffers expire before i finish them... so u think its not something urgent.? Not going blue thank goodness

Bit hard to tell over the net lol especially without doing your pulse and o2 sats whilst you feel breathless. A certain amount of breathlessness is normal in pregnancy and common not to say everyone gets it as they don't. Could be the asthma playing up a bit or just normal in pregnancy. I would get your dr to listen to your heart next visit which I think is usally normal to have a full health check for your first antenatal visit although I never had this with both mine. I know the Drs I work with do though.

Iron deficiency can also cause breathlessness. I know from other posts that you have had trouble eating so that could be a cause. Can you get your iron levels checked and get some supplements?
