    Spotting

HI, im new to this and was hoping for some advice and to speak to people who may be experiencing the same thing.
I was what i though was 7 weeks pregnant when i noticed some spotting on Thursday
1st april. it started off pinkish and then turned slightly more red when i took myself to emergency - they did a scan and saw 2 sacks (twins) but it was too early to see if they were viable, they said they were only the size of 5 weeks.
Its now been 9 days since then - i am booked in for a scan this wednesday to see if there is a heart beat. To say ive been coping is an understatement! i have been going out of my mind, the spotting has continued and seems to be only getting less since yesterday. when i say spotting - there is never anything on my pad, just everytime i whipe after toilet (sorry if TMI). I feel like i have already mourned for them and its just the not knowing that is killing me. I just need to know if i can move on with my life or that the pregnancy id going to continue.
Is there anyone out there who has had this?
Please help, this has been the worst and longest 2 weeks of my life!

    Massive to you.

Not me personally, my GF had something similar and was also carrying twins. She lost one twin and then went on to have a healthy pregnancy.
    Do you still feel pregnant?
Only one month ago another GF had the same thing..except their were 3sacks. She didn't feel pregnant when she went to have the scan and the outcome was what she had expected..
Take care and please come back and talk no matter what the outcome is.

    Hi Hun,

Can you call your doctor and get in for an earlier scan?
What about if you went to your local hopsital emergency department?
I know how it feels to be in limbo and not knowing what is happening to your own body is really hard.
I don't really have any advice but just wanted to say my are with you and your babies.
Bleeding in pregnancy can be normal and the fact that it was not enough to show on a pad is a good sign.
    Try and stay positive.
    Thinking of you xo

I had spotting with all my pregnancies, and only one of them was a miscarriage. It is hard to predict what you will see when you have your scan, but I hope you get some good news on Wednesday.

If the bleeding is less now then I suspect a trip to A&E would just result in a long wait and instruction to go in for your scheduled scan, so my advice would be to stay at home (unless you get heavy bleeding or extreme pain) and try to distract yourself as worrying will not change anything.

    Hugs to you

    Hi sezjar,

I'm sorry you are going through all this stress and worry. I really hope the outcome is good for you.

Is it possible that your dates are incorrect and that you were only 5 weeks at the scan? Or are you certain that you were 7 weeks?

As Babyluv said, it is not uncommon for women to bleed in early pregnancy, and many women go on to have a healthy baby (or two!).

Only two more sleeps until you have some answers. You've made it this far, you are doing so well!

I am sorry to hear you are going thru this!

With my 3rd DS, I had spotting at 8 weeks, and he was ok. With DS2 I had severe spotting at 6 weeks, went to hospital, and he was fine too. Sometimes a small bleed can just be the implantation bleed. Dates can be wrong too, so don't stress too much until you have the scan. ANd especially if the blood is only there when you wipe, that means minimal bleeding. Fingers crossed for you hon. I am sending you the stickiest of vibes and hopeing for a H and H 9 months ahead!

I'm sorry to hear your going through this... it's so horrible. I had spotting with this pregnancy and was completely fine, as bleeding and spotting can be normal. I lost a pregnancy last year, and didn't have any spotting or bleeding at all.

Good luck tomorrow, i know how terrifying it is. I'll be thinking of you xx

    Hi Sezjar,

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

I have had spotting/bleeding every time I have been pregnant, and the third time started out the same as the first 2, but has gone on to be fine. Time will tell but the wait is excrutiating. Definitely try and get an earlier scan if possible as this will definitely tell you (I would have thought) if there is a sac and or heartbeat. If you are working and possible, try and take some time off to deal with this.

    Wishing you all the best

    XOX

    7 weeks pregnant too

Ive noticed a slight bit of brown blood when wiping too, though today there was a bit of a flood of red blood - Im scared too!
Its my 1st time too and although ive heard that lots of women bleed throughout pregnancy, it still is awful. I have my 1st ultrasound on wednesday, but after today, i want it NOW! No real cramps, still feel sick so THATS a good sign...PLEASE GOD, let my little one stay!
    please, wish me luck
