I am about 6 weeks pregnant. And for the last few weeks have been bleeding. It got to me so much that I went to the GP.. and just said that I need to know if im I have hope or not. He send me to my OB who did a quick scan to check. (where I found I was 2 weeks earlier than expected.) He said all was good. Heartbeat was good.. and a good sign. He said that my uterus was good. No bleeding was coming from there. BUT even at the scan (internal) I bled... a fair bit. It didn't relieve my worry really. Cause as I was getting to leave he said.. "I wouldn't tell anyone yet, you still have a 1 in 7 chance of a miscarriage." So here I am half a week later.. and still bleeding. ITS DOING MY HEAD IN. When its a good day.. I start thinking about the joy's of being pregnant and wonder about the lil person inside of me. On a bad day.. like today.. I wonder how will I cope... how will I explain...

I have never been in your position so not sure what to suggest. Maybe going to the ER & see if you can get another scan?
To tell you everything is fine when your dates are 2 weeks behind & you where bleeding at the scan is just weird to me? What was his explanation for the bleeding then?

I had a couple of bleeds at the very start of my last pregnancy but not as heavy as you have described. Like the other ladies have said, I really think you should get a 2nd opinion because your ob only said where it 'wasn't' comming from, not where it WAS coming from or what was causing it YKWIM? My dates measured 2 weeks behind for both of my pregnancies as well and the lovely girls here on BB assured me it was quite normal cause I think my dates were according to my LMP, but the scan was by actual conception.

I agree with the PPs, is there someone else you can go and see? Perhaps take yourself to ED? Are you in any pain?
I think that bleeding in pregnancy is more common than we think though and know that there are ladies on here who bled (some all the way through) and they have healthy babies.
Ive got no pain.. and the bleeding today was very faint. So im taking it day by day. I know that they can't do anything if there is something wrong. So im going to ride it out for now. Been reading up on it today.. and it does seem normal. To a degree. And its not heavy heavy like a period. So that is something. And the fact ive got no pain is a good thing too apparently. SO ill be taking that as GOOD signs.. and HOPE this BLOODY WELL STOPS!!! LOL

How are you going Tascha? Has the spotting stopped? I am going through the exact same thing at the moment! Had a scan this morning and apparently i am not as far as i thought. Still spotting a bit too.

I am ok. Still spotting. It only really goes away for a day or so then comes back. Its mostly very light pink of brown. So im just ignoring it really. Stressing aint helping I keep telling myself!
I had a scan on the 1st of Dec. I just couldn't not know what was going on. They all told me.."there is nothing we can do to stop it, if you are having a MC". Like I don't know that!! Found out I was 2 weeks earlier than I thought. BUT saw a heartbeat.. and OB said that was at least a good sign. Not bleeding from uterus.. so where and why are still a mystery.
HUGS.. I know where your head is at. And I telly ya it aint easy! Bloody mind loves to run around in circles thinking what? if? why?

Ill keep you all up to date as requested too. Im due to see my ob again on the 22nd. Shall be in here again to let you all know how that goes. Other than that.. so far so good! Starting to get a few symptoms.. never thought ID WANT THEM!
I know this is way too early to think of it. But I have to let my mind do its thing.
How soon can I fall pregnant again?? How soon will my body be ready??

I don't think it is too early to be asking/thinking about this, in fact I see it as a natural progression from what you are going through. You need positive thoughts to be able to move forward, not forget but to make steps forward. I don't know the answer, but wish you the best of luck. xxxx
I had everything crossed that things would work out for you.
It definately isn't too soon to be thinking of trying again. It will be an important step in your healing, a positive to work towards. Some doctors will recommend waiting a few months and some say that as soon as you feel ready to try again. I guess checking with your own Dr would be wise. I suppose it depends on a few different things.. Are you waiting for things to happen naturally? I know after my last D&C it took a few months for my body to get back to normal.
I wish you all the very best with falling pregnant again and i hope that it happens very quickly for you and you get to hold a precious baby in your arms very soon.
