My scan on Monday showed a small subchorionic haemotoma which is significantly smaller than the sac. We have done some research and it is common in 25% of pregnancies and can be associated with low iron which I have. If I take it easy it should just go away.
I flew to Sydney on Tues and phoned my OB before I went because I needed to know if it was safe to fly. He said to avoid sex and if I bleed not to worry about it.
Does anyone have any information or personal experience?
I've not had any experience with this, but I just wanted to wish you lots of luck. Sounds like it will clear up soon and I'm sure your OB would have mentioned anything important to you.
Thanks for your kind messages. Just thought I would give an update.
I had my 12 week scan on the 30/12 and everything is good. The haemotoma has gone and there is no sign of bleeding. This is very reassuring that everything is going along as it should.
