Protein, protein, protein. I agree with JellyBean on everything.
If you're feeling sick in the morning, you should try eating a light supper high in protein - so perhaps some nuts, or a serve of meat - not too much or you won't be able to digest it before bed. That will keep your blood sugar balanced in the morning.
And small meals, making sure you include some protein in each meal.
Don't eat sweet things to combat the MS - sweet biscuits, etc, send your blood sugar skywards, and when it comes crashing down you'll feel even worse.
Chamomile or peppermint tea to settle the tummy.
Ginger tea, ginger biscuits, etc, are good. Just keep the sugar to a minimum.
My personal life savers are rice cakes with peanut butter, and almonds.
Oh, and good quality porridge in the morning (with fruit, not sugar) is really great - the complex carbs are great for balancing the blood sugar as well.
I second (or third or whatever) the protein thing, but I was not nearly as good as these other ladies- I survived on a chocolate protein drink (which also had lots of B vitamins). It was the only thing that helped me a little bit....
For me the blackmores ginger and B6 tablets are still a life saver. I tried the sea bands, but I didn't think they helped me that much.
Soda water, dry plain cracker biscuits/corn crackers, porridge in the morning, and sometimes small amounts of coke. Anything bubbly (except wine and beer of course ha ha).
Good luck hun, hope you can survive it! I didn't spew much, just the constant ALL day nausea from week 5 till week 12, now I'm 15 weeks and still get nauseaus in the afternoons some days.
Peppermint Tea and Green apples! The best!!! I HATE ginger and still tried having ginger biscuits before getting out of bed one morning... I just got up to throw them back up again, so didn't wprk for me
