eep, i hope so. i used some a couple of weeks ago on my chest without a second thought (it was the baby version tho...)
I have a shocking cough (remnants of the flu) & everything I read aside from drinking honey & lemon tea suggests to put Vicks on the soles of your feet with socks. I want to try it, but I have no idea if it's safe in pregnancy. I also have Euky Bearub which is a more natural version, but again no idea if it's safe because there is nothing on the label.
Does anyone know for sure?

Im pretty sure it is. You could always put some on a cotton ball under your top so its not against your skin?
Congrats too![]()
Wow congratulations!!
Personally I wouldnt as I am one who errs on side of caution on using things like this while preg.
I do not remember reading anything that says not to use but main issue is often not much testing done to know risks.
I wouldnt because of the camphor or something. Can you use a vaposiser with pepperment & eucalyptus oil?
Btw - Huge Congratulations![]()
Definitely safe. I got my Dr & pharmacist to check when I was pregnant with DD2 & with DD3.
Massive congrats on your pregnancy hunI hope you're feeling better real soon.

OMG CONGRATS!
can you maybe check with a chemist tomorrow?
Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else!
i found a safer version of Vicks, made by simmons, same people who make the paw paw nappy balm. Could only get it online, not sold IRL where i live, but one tub lasts such a long time, the $6 postage was worth it. i think i found it on organicsaustraliaonline, or some name like that.
I've always used it, usually on my hand and then slept with my hand near my nose.
You could always try
a vapouriser (being a grown-up, you can move your nose closer to the steam at times too),
Saline nasal spray (I think you can use the other sort for maybe 3 days, the bottle usually says to check with a doc/pharmacist first though),
And gargling with saltwater (really surprisingly effective!), to clear mucous that harbours bacteria.
Get well soon!
Get well soon Sarah - I have no idea about the Euky but wanted to pop in say WOOO!!! Congrats hun!!![]()
I would avoid anything with camphor in it if it has to be applied directly to skin. I am with Tashy on this - get yourself a vapourizer and use the Euky in that. You can also take plain Herron or Panadol too x x
I emailed Bosistos & got this response
I only wanted to put it on my feet. My chest is fine it's just a nasty cough & everyone reccomends putting it on your feet with socks so I thought it worth a try.Euky Bearub is suitable for use during pregnancy. There are no reported contra-indications in the literature in relation to pregnant women and we have not received any reports of skin sensitivity to the product. It is gentle on most sensitive skin and can be used by the whole family. If you do have any specific sensitivities or concerns we recommend you contact your health care professional.
And thank you guys xx The big announcement will be in the next few days as long as all goes well with the ultrasound.
Awesome hun - hope it brings you some relief and I read your blog postGood luck with the ultrasound lovely! xoxoxox
