I would be inclined to go by scan dates if you have nothing else to go on kwim?
The pg tests these days are very sensitive, I did mine late in the afternoon/early evening when I was 3 days late & it was absolutely definite!

Having said that I am reluctant to base it only on scans as I have had experience of them being waaay off... with DD I had no idea when my LNMP was, we went with the date given by my 8 week scan & she was born 2 days after...brown wrinkled, peeling & clearly very very late.

So if you have anything else to go on, take that into account kwim? But I don't know if the test itself is much help in dating the PG.

Fortunately this time my 8 week scan matched my LNMP, plus I'm pretty sure of when I concieved, so no doubts this time

If you are sure of your dates and when you were due for AF etc, then I'd go with what you think.

I've had a similar situation with this bub. Had a dating scan and they put my dates forward a week, said I was only 5 and not 6. But even though they did the scan, they still based it on my LMP which I said was rubbish because my cycles are longer than 28 days (average 33). When I had my first appt with my OB at 9 weeks, I told him this and he did a quick scan and agreed with me. I just had my 12 week scan and told them the same story and they agreed with me too.

So I'm going with my dates, not the dating scan. I know my body better than a machine and a sonographer

I would go by the scan date. Annoying I know, especially as it has put you back but it does all depend on when you ovulated and conception date not just when your AF was due.
I am a late ovulater and my scans always put me back a week from my LMP date.

I would go by the early scan only because thats what most dr's/obbys are going to go on especially when your looking at being closer to term and if inductions/c-sections were getting discussed. From an obstetricians point of view they will take the medical facts (that the early scan gave you a EDD different to LMP) and use that not the date you tell them you DTD or O. I am sure your right about your dates and I know abdominal U/S is said not to be as accurate as a vaginal U/S so if you had both these done at your scan you probably would have dates almost a week apart anyway. But simple because of what the Obby would say I would go by the later date and that way when bub comes earlier it will be an added bonus. If you go over there date (by U/S EDD) then you will be going well over by your date. For me it would be a mind thing. Think the latest date because anything earlier is a bonus. But then thats me trying to trick my mind into not being disappointed if my date came and went. I was in this situation 2yrs ago and I went 4weeks before the Obby said I was due which was 2weeks before I thought I was due. My DD was well cooked despite being what they said was 36weeks (and 8lbs)
