Hi, well it seems I have a tummy bug, I'm around 12 and a half weeks, over the past 24 hours I haven't been able to keep pretty much anything down, it is all going straight through me, even water and hydralyte. I'm getting worried about the baby. I spoke to my on yesterday and he said it should be fine and these thongs generally last a couple of days. Any other ideas on what I can do? The pharmacist suggested inner health plus or immodium but I'm reluctant to take medications. Sorry if this is a bit all over the place!
Sorry to hear you are unwell. I hope you recover quickly. You are doing the right thing by drinking water and hydralyte - it is important to keep your fluid intake up. Rest is important too.
Try and rest up and look after you. Baby will take what it needs from you and I'm sure will be fine.
I agree with eating bland things, well what you can. Maybe try some flat lemonade. I know Hydralite is better but I struggle to keep it down.
Thanks, I saw my on this morning and bub is still happy in there, that was my main concern obviously! Hopefully I'll start feeling better soon. I'm putting myself to bed and my mum is going to look after the boys!
i was going to suggest the brat diet too, as well as yoghurt to try restore some balance.
hope you feel better soon, just keep up your fluids and dont stress
a midwife told me grated green apple left to go brown a little then eaten helps to calm the stomach. also drinking the broth stuff after you've boiled rice is meant to help too, although it wouldn't taste all that flash.
