Hi Gliriel - congrats on your pregnancy but so sorry to have to suffer the dreaded ms. I had morning sickness aswell I would not call mine severe but it was bad enough, it pretty much lasted all day and all night and at one point I didnt even want to leave the house I felt so terrible - could really only eat toast and then that didnt stay down much either (still cant eat toast now lol). Mine started at 6 weeks on the dot and ended at 17.5 weeks.
Everyone is different so others expeiences are not a real guide to go by but I know you would be clutching at any hope that it is going to end soon - I was the same.
I am actually dredding being pregnant again for that reason - I hate ms.
Sorry to hear you are so sick, I'm also sorry to say that it is sooo different for everyone. Some finish up at 12 weeks, some a bit later & some never. I am throwing up day & night....have been since 6wks & am still going strong at almost 18wks.
Update: still have ms at 24 wks, grrrrrrrr.

: additional info
I have what I suppose would be considered mild m/s as it's only nausea and no vomiting which started at 4 weeks and still comes in waves (I was 9 weeks yesterday). I've had a few good days here and there which made me excited that I'd gotten past it only for it to return with a vengeance a few days later.
I don't know how you guys do it, being that sick every day for weeks on end I really think would do me in, I mean I really have my days where I'm fed up and I only have mild nausea
There is a light at the tunnel - at least there was for me. I was in a similar position to you. I ended up in hospital a few times due to dehydration from constant vomiting. I couldn't get out of bed for a few weeks and was thinking about how horrible everything was.
My vomiting and nausea went through a few different phases.
Firstly, I had the constant vomiting, ending up in hospital a few times. That was from 5ish weeks to 11 weeks.
Then I had pretty constant nausea, slowing easing. If I ate carrots, fresh fruit and other fresh things pretty continually I was ok. I was a sight at work - munching on a bag of carrots all day, every day. That was from around 12 weeks to 16 weeks.
Then I only got nausea in the morning, before I had something to eat. If I ate something straight away, like a banana then the nausea went away. That was from 17 weeks to 21ish weeks.
Now it's all gone! I can get hungry without wanting to throw up and it's all good.
I know it's horrible, but it will be ok. Just hang in there.
Ahhhh morning sickness.... It must have been a man that made up the name as it's more like all day sickness!!! I could quite happily say that was the worst part abaout being preg! I didn't really enjoy the first half of my preg with DD as I had m/s all day every day right up until I was 16 weeks, then it calmed down a bit and was completely gone by 19 weeks. So many people told me when I hit 12 weeks it would be gone, but definately not for everyone!!! In saying that as one of the ladies have said, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but just remember everyone's experience is different. I do hope it does start to ease really soon for you, you poor dear! Keep in mind they say m/s is a good sign for a very healthy baby! Although it was really hard sometimes, that kept me going!
