    Worried....

have just been reading through the forums...
when i first found out that i was preg, they calculated from my last peroid and said i was like 6 weeks or something, had a blood test n they said that my HCG levels werent very high so that i was prob only 2-3 weeks preg... is this right that i could only be this far along or could there be something wrong, i havent got many symptoms, just a few funny feelings in my tummy and tired n toilet often lol... i cant wait 4-5 weeks for the ultrasound !!!!

Hi Jess. Congrats on the pregnancy. Just go and get another blood test. HCG levels should double each day so it's easy to see how things are tracking. Lots of women don't have many symptoms and some have none so don't worry about that.

    Hi Jess

Drink lots of water before your blood test (1-2 hours hours ahead) and ask to lie down when they actually take your blood. The water thins the blood out and it takes less time for the nurses to get the required amount of blood ......... I get all sweaty, nauseous and dizzy during blood tests too and this always helps me.

Hi, it took me 10 months to get pregnant and so I was taking tests every month, anyway when it finally came up positive and the doctor confirmed it I didn't feel any different at all, so I questioned it too. I only felt a little bit more tired than usual and that was it. The 'last period' thing is just a guideline, I was told to give or take a week or two. This was explained to me when I was questioning why they let you go over two weeks after you are 'due' and thats the answer I got.

    Hope it makes sense...

congratulations and hopefully you will miss out on the morning sickness symptoms like I did as well
