    Yoga for Preggie Ones

    Hi,
Can anyone recommend somewhere to go to a yoga class for pregnant women? I live in the Oakleigh area in Melbourne and want to find a class so I can start slowly. I haven't done any yoga for many years.
    Thanks

Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy!! If you go to bubhub dot com dot au (sorry cant post the link) they have a services directory with lots of places that do pregnancy yoga and all sorts of other pregnancy classes! If you havent done it for a long time you will need to take it very easy - and obviously let them know that you are pregnant! I also bought a pilates and yoga dvd on ebay so i could work at my own pace at home and found that great. Aqua aerobics was really good later on too! Good luck with it all!

    Hi
Can't help you with classes in Melb, but in case you were interested.....I attended yoga pregnancy classes once and then I found a book called New Active Birth (By J Balaskas)that described and had photos of all the exact exercises we had done in the class! I use those as they are more convenient than times/locations of classes near me.
    Best wishes.

I am Sydney so cant give you specific places... but justed wanted to say my hospital runs them, so if you cant find anywhere else, maybe you can ask there? My friend also went to a normal yoga class and just told them she was pregnant and they modified the exercises for her.

MrsK, on the great Ob thread a fair way back towards the start, the girls talk about a few Yoga places that they went to! HTH
