Im 11w pg and suffering quite badly with what I suspect is a bit more than just ordinary m/s, so a bit of ginger and small meals, etc dont help.
Im on 16mg of Zofran a day, 8mg in the morning which seems to be effective for a couple of hours. Then 8mg in the afternoon which seems to do absolutely nothing apart from slightly reducing the number of vomiting episodes, but not enough to make a difference. The nausea is extreme during the afternoon/evening and my body tends to heat up so I feel very feverish (this happened before I took zofran too, so not a side effect). Nothing I try seems to help and its really getting me down. All I do is lie in my bed with a cold compress to cool me down, sometimes in the dark because light seems to make it worse, especially at night after 6pm. I havent gone to hospital because Im able to drink quite a bit of water and eat almost normally during the morning and lunch, so although I am somewhat dehydrated, I can re-hydrate myself n the morning.
So my questions - I thought zofran would help but it doesnt even touch the nausea in the afternoon/night. Is this normal? Did Zofran work for you and if so what dosage were you on? Also, what did you take to relieve the terrible constipation it causes (TMI warning - Its been 9 days since my last BM and I took metamucil yesterday with no luck).

you poor thing, its sucky
dont you ever think that what you are feeling or suffering is any less because someone else had it 'differently' to you!!! Honestly, DD is 2.5 and Im only learning now how severe mine was and I'd hate to think you feel guilty saying you feel awful cause of me.
