    3D images at NT scan

Today I had the NT scan done. The tech was commenting about how good bubs was looking strong HB all measurements were really good...... I was really excited until we got to doing some 3D images. Now I'm just scared In all 6 front on 3D images there is a bump clearly visible on the left hand side of the abdomen. it's off to the side and I can't see it on the 2D images...... I tried to get the tech to tell me what it was.... I asked if it wad umbilical, was told it was too high. Asked what it was and got the answer "its abdomen surface". I'm honestly so so scared. I'd love to know if anyone has seen something similar, or may know what if is. I can't get in the see my GP until Friday arvo and it seems so far away when I'm so freaked out

Hi Caz, can't comment from experience, just wanted to say hope everything is okay. Did the tech say when the scan results would be sent through to the GP? Hope you get some answers and hope it's nothing to be concerned about.

I can't really help with what it could be either but I had a number of the 3D/4D scans and in nearly all of them DS had extra lumps and bumps each time. I was told not to worry as its the way the images are created. DS was born perfectly healthy and I hope your little one is ok too.

Honestly hon, I wouldn't worry. 3D scans always add lumps and bumps. If the tech said its abdomen surface then I would believe that. They wouldn't lie to you.

sometimes bits floating in the fluid can be in front of baby and look like they are attached to baby.

Hi Caz, the tech did a 3D scan at my 12wk scan for DD2 and advised that they always look really bumpy and lumpy and not to take any notice of it. He said 3D scans are more suitable to 20wk morph scan. My DD2 is perfect no bumps or lumps now. Here's hoping that is the case for you - I'm sure it will be
