3D Scans & Referrals

I guess the Perth people might know the answer to this one. Has anyone been able to get a 3D scan at SKG Radiology? I have to have a scan at 32 weeks so rang a few of their branches and asked if they did them and they all said "No!" rather abruptly.

My referral from my ob is for SKG and when she wrote it she said the SKG at the hospital does do them, but they told me no. I've had all my previous scans at SKG and have seen 3D pictures on their walls so I am sure they can do it and just don't like publicising it. Can I use my referral at any ultrasound place even though it's on SKG letterhead?

I wouldn't think you could use your referral for another place. why dont you call your ob and get them to send you another referral. I went to the womens imaging clinic in subiaco. they do 3d ones there. Good luck.

Thanks Megs. I actually rang a couple of places and got an appt at Women's Imaging in Subi. The lady on the phone was really nice and they do accept any referral letterhead. The other place I rang was Park Ultrasound who also accept any letterhead but don't take on new patients in the third trimester.

Oh thats great news. you must be really excited! the 3d scans are amazing, and more so when it is your own bubs.
