About to tell Husband 'were having a baby'

Wish me luck girls. I am nervous as crazy I am about to pick my DH up from the airport and tell him the wonderful news. He has been away all week. I have been keeping it a secret till he gets home. I got a little gift bag that says 'worlds greatest dad' and put the positive stick in there as well as the report from the blood test I got this afternoon with a little letter. I am so nervous, not sure why. This was our first month of seriously trying to conceive so its not like he doesn't know it could happen. I guess I just convinced him well that we missed this cycle before he left and little to my knowledge I was wrong. I wonder what his reaction will be?

Anyway. i will let you know how it goes...

OOh best of luck Puppies! That is so cute, I'm sure he will be thrilled (and just a little shocked LOL!!). I can't wait to hear how it goes. Oh and BTW, better not mention that 10 000 BBers found out before he did PMSL!!

oh wow, that's so exciting. I love the idea of the bag, that's gorgeous. Can't wait to hear how it went. Takes me back to how I told DP - I had to send him a text message to get him to stop talking to his brother who was staying with us at the time and to come in to talk to me instead.

How did it go? I remember being so excited to tell DH when we were expecting our first. He was thrilled. He actually cried. It's a great memory.

Well it went really well. He asked what the stick was and I showed him the 2 lines and the print on the stick that said 2 lines means positive. I showed him the blood test report and he read the letter and as he read the letter I saw his eyes well up and his chin quiver a bit. he then hugged me for what felt like the longest time. He then said congratulations honey. We talked a bit about it, but I didn't want to over do it as he was still in a bit of shock. I have at least had a week to get my head around it. Tonight I think we are going to discuss telling the immediate family. We were going to wait until 3 months, but we spend a lot of time with his family, and its going to be hard to hide it from them. I think it will feel more real to both of us if we can share it with our parents. Plus we are both going to need their support. I am hoping to go to the Pregnancy expo this weekend at Olympic Park.
Thanks for all your well wishes, it was everything I expected. I am going to scrap book the test and blood test reports this Friday, along with a journal of our reactions.
