I think it's highly unlikely that you could be that far along and get a negative BT but still be pregnant.

In the early stages it is definately possible but not later on. If you were only newly pregnant you would not be getting all those symptoms.

Even at 4 w 1 d my HCG was in the 400's and you only need 25 to be considered pregnant. By the stage you would be at now I was something like 75,000. There's no way a blood test wouldn't detect that kind of number.

I guess anything is possible, but I just think it's pretty unlikely.

Some women get "pregnancy symptoms" when they are not pregnant. I know I did a couple of times on unsuccessful cycles (but never missed a period). The ones where I conceived I didn't get any traditional early pregnancy symptoms until after I got a + HPT & + BT.

i havent got a blood test back yet.. like i said once you start thinking about your symptoms.. i think you can talk yourself into it! (meaning my situation.. ) i think i just need an answer then ill know more.. the unknown makes u read into things way too much which is even more frustrating.

thanks for your kind thoughts tho and helpful advise satya.. you are very experienced.. sound like you have some medical back ground??.. then again you have had experience.. im a virgin when it comes to all this.. first timer.. first month.. hopefully i can become as knowledgable as you one day
being on the pill for so long you dont need to read your body so to speak.. been off it for about 4 months now.. just have to wait and see.. again thank you

Amsta - no medical background here (have worked in a hossy & an eye surgery but both were admin jobs). Just many many years of unsuccessful TTC until my little man arrived. You end up learning a little along the way.

I very much doubt you are pg. By the time most of the symptoms you mention you are feeling come along there would be no doubt a blood test would pick up a pg and more than likely a HPT as well. I had no symptoms at all other than a missed period until I was about 6 weeks along, but the HPT came up straight away two days after my period was due (would have been just over 4 weeks). Even with an irregular cycle a blood test would definitely have detected a pg.

hope it happens for you soon.

    Hey guys!

Got my AF today, so it looks like I am definitely not pregnant. Nevermind, there is plenty of time to try and I think I will like the whole planning process! Thanks to all who offered advice and support, it's very much appreciated.

Amsta, would love to know how you went!

At least AF arrived and you know where you're at now.. I'd suggest trying to chart.. I know you're not actively trying, but it would be good to do to try and track your cycle. Fertility Friend (Google them) is a great place to get a chart

i am studying for my end of year semester and want to get that out of the way so kinda focused on that at the moment.. im sur it will come when its ready..

LizJessie: Yep joined up to them last night. I think \it will be good to help me see how regular I am and to know my body better so I don't get confused in future.

Amsta: Sorry you don't know yet. I hope you get the result you're after! Take care!

My DH and I have now decided we want to start trying, so I will chart my cycle and post back when I have more info. Good luck and best wishes to all! <3
