    I second the Lactulose.

Have you tried epsom salts in a capsule form? My bum dr said they were fine to take during pregnancy.

Shoegal - my midwife and naturopath specifically told me not to take epsom salts while I was pregnant.
    Will try the other suggestions!

I've been taking Agarol (which the chemist and my OB suggeted) and it's fine. My mum remembers using Agarol on all the old patients when she was a nurse back in her day.

If you want a quick but nasty clean out, Thai green curry prior to a dose of Agarol works a treat as I discovered last night....I DO NOT recommend it!

I take Naturafibe which my Ob put me one. There is also another one by the same company called Normalfibe which has a natural laxitive in it. Both are fine in pregnancy. As long as I take it every day I don't have any problems.
