    Age gap :)

    Hello all!

I haven't been on since I was in labour with my gorgeous daughter!

At the moment, however, i may be pregnant I'm due for AF now, and there is no sign she's coming... I've even spent a few days this week with niggly sick feeling that I had when I was first pregnant.

The problem is DD is only 15 weeks old! My due date would be July next year, which is when DD was born!

So here's my question... How many people have only a one year age gap between kids? I'm not concerned as to how I would handle it at all (and if I am pregnant I'm still not decided that I would keep the baby...) I know I would manage perfectly fine, but I'm concerned as to how DD would handle it.

She'd be so young! She wouldn't understand the process at all! I'm lucky that so far she hasn't been a jealous baby, but if a baby was to come into the family in only 9 months, I don't know how she'd be!

    Please, help!!!

there is a similar thread at the moment https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...th-147497.html on which lots of our members have given their opinion on small age gaps. Personally I had my kids very close together by choice and wouldn't change a thing, but everyone is different and what is right for one family may be wrong for another. Have you done a test yet

I don't have small age gaps (just the opposite, lol) - my closest age gap is 2.5 years. But I think if you would be fine with it then that's the biggest thing. For your daughter, she wouldn't grow up knowing any different, you know? and it would give her a great playmate close to her age.
My two sisters are both PG again, one will have a 15 month gap & the other will have a 20 month gap. Both are very happy - obviously I can't say yet how the little ones will react to having a brother or sister

I think there are pros & cons with any age gap - how you feel about it is the most important thing.

Good luck, I hope you get teh answer you want

My cousin has a 10mth age gap b/w her 2 youngest and then she has 2 older children.. TBH i think the 2nd youngest handled the youngest coming a lot better than the older 2.
My brother was born 4 days before my first birthday and i think just like any age gap there will always be issues as to whether or not a child accepts that there is another baby in your life.

My girls are 15mths apart and i thought that DD1 would be an issue as she was at an age where she really noticed what was going on but she has been ok, i think at 1yr old they ae still at an age where they are not 100% on whats happening and they leanr to adjust quite well.

GL with it all... i hope you get the result your looking for but either way, deep breaths smiles
