We're choosing to abstain here, and we're only drinking during my period. Mind you, there are a lot of alcohol-induced pregnancies which are just fine ...
I actually put off doing an HPT for a couple of days because I knew I had a night out planned with the girlies and I didn't want to not be able to drink if I knew I was UTD.
It's a personal thing really but I'm of the opinion that a couple of drinks while you are to find out can't do you or the baby any harm.
when I had some "odd" feelings thinking I might have been pregnant (waiting to test) I did have a couple but limited it.
GL!
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Depends what I feel at the time. After a long time waiting, I can see how the need to feel normal is massive, and that's why I didn't abstain on my most recent TWW (and got a BFP!)
A really good decoy is to drink water out of empty beer bottles. (west coast cooler bottles are good too!) I found this works particularly well if there's any peer pressure or if you want to keep it a secret.
Good luck!
My hen's night was the week after we conceived, so I didn't know I was pregnant - I got the drunkest I've ever been (I'm not much of a drinker, so I'm not great at realising I've had too much until it's all settled into me) and seriously embarrassed myself.
And yes, I know you're looking down at my sig and seeing that I lost my son, but it had nothing to do with my drinking - it was "one of those things" and was a completely normal pregnancy. He came out normal except for the fact that his heart wasn't beating.
I did have the thought early on in my pregnancy that maybe it would have affected the baby, but I was assured that at that point, the egg probably hadn't implanted so there was no way it would have transferred to bubs.
