Can someone tell my mum to stop buying baby clothes?? My MIL will be bringing stuff over when she flies over after the birth, and I've got so much clothes, I doubt I'm going to use all of them! AND OMG how many blankets do I need!!!! I know mum is really excited being the first grandchild and all, but I haven't even had the chance to pick out a little outfit myself, because she has bought so much! I know I should be thankful, but its really way too much now!

Can you maybe direct her towards other stuff that will be useful or even a range of sizes so bub can grow into them? It's easy to go nuts on the clothes because they're so cute, but you're right, half the time they barely get worn by the time bub grows out of them.

I'm trying to direct my MIL and family into things like joining together for bigger things like an ergo carrier, travel cot or such like. So far it seems to be working

I'm super excited to be having a girl this time and have bought a fair few clothes but tried not to go overboard. We already had the cot from DS1 & DS2, portcot the same, change table we gave away after DS1 but i bought this awesome looking chopping block table that seriously doesn't fit in our house so i bought a change mat with DS2 and popped that on top - perfect change table, high chair from DS2 but i actually prefer the ones that attach to the chair at the table (take up less room), have only bought a couple of little pink rattle toys cos i got copious amounts of toys, i have bought one of those swings though (fisher & price lil lamb) i have wanted one of them since DS1 and i'm going cloth this time too so i spent up on them

But i love Heaven's comment - so so true
