    Alternative to flu shots

Morning ladies - after researching the flu shot pros and cons I have decided not to get them - especially as I'll still be in the first trimester during the flu season anyway.

I am currently taking Fefol Multi Preg which has lots of stuff, including zinc, vit c and fish oil but was wondering if I should be adding something else to the daily routine as a preventative.

So is anyone else not getting these shots, and if so, what alternatives you are going to use to try and minimise risks.

i'm going to subscribe to this thread as i have already had a cold and a flu and coming into the flu season i really cant afford to have it again. And i really dont want to have either a cold or the flu when i have my baby.

A healthy diet, exercise and staying away from sick people is the far best way not to get the flu

The healthy eating and exercise i can do but staying away from sick people may be a bit hard. I work in retail so am in the face of so many people everyday. I have been drinking lots of water, getting lots of sleep every night. So hopefully with me doing that i should be right. And panadol has become my bestfriend

Blondie - thanks - too exciting hey!!!!! I think its cause I took over the TTC list - that thing has magical powers :-)

MummaMia - yep, too true. I just want to add something else to the regime. I guess its all about boosting the immune system, but with what I'm not sure...

    Just bumping this...any other ideas???

I saw Inner Health Plus advertised last night, wondering if something like that would be a good imune booster. Anything else / anything better???
