Anterior placenta - when did you feel movements?

Hello. I am 13.5 weeks preg with bub number 2 and the ultrasound doctor has confirmed an anterior placenta and said that I wouldn't feel movements until around 24 weeks. That seems like a really long time to me as I am sure that I started to feel flutters by 14 weeks with DD and proper movements by 18 weeks. Its strange to think that it could be another 10 weeks before I feel anything.

So I am looking forward to hearing your experiences with an anterior placenta. TIA.

I had pinchy feelings kind of felt like around the top of my cervix or pelvic floor? around 16 weeks. I have been feeling him now getting stronger since 20 weeks when we had the ultrasound. He doesn't feel comfortable when I'm sitting upright and moves around then.

About 22-24 weeks for me. This baby has been my only one that I have had an anterior placenta with.

I had an anterior placenta both times.
With DS1 it was around 23-24 weeks before I felt movements, but it was much earlier with DS2, around 17-18 weeks.

I don't know whether this was because it was second time around and I just knew what to expect to feel, or whether it wasn't right at the front or what the story was butnit was much earlier and I also felt a lit more movements throughout mympg Than I did with ds1.

Dd1- no anterior placenta, felt her at about 17-18 weeks

Dd2- no anterior placenta, felt her at about 15 weeks

This one I have an anterior placenta and at 20 weeks couldn't feel anything. I was actually starting to worry but at my scan last week baby had normal amount of movements.

But I have asked lots of women the same thing as was worried. I found that for some it makes no difference at all but others it does. I guess it depends on both the exact position of the placenta and the the baby.

This is my first and I began to feel something feint at about 19 weeks but it wasn't until about 20 weeks that I realised it was my bub. At 20 weeks I might have only felt something about 3 times a day. I'm 35 weeks now and I feel heaps.

Yep anterior placenta and i have started feeling movement from 15 weeks, so just in the last week. It is the fluttery movements and not very strong. I may not have known it was the baby at first if it was not my second pregnancy, but they are getting stronger and is definitely noticeable.

    DD1 - 22 weeks
    DD2 - 24 weeks
DD3 (this pregnancy) - was about 20ish weeks as well I think.

I have only had one placenta that wasn't anterior and that was with DS - and I felt his movements at 16-17 weeks.

I was told I had an anterior placenta, but it's up the top, more near my ribs? Anyhoo, I felt flutters around 14-16 weeks and proper movements around 18-19 weeks I think

I felt flutters around 16 weeks if I was reclining or lying on my back. I think definite movements I noticed around 19-20 weeks, but throughout my pg they were either really high or really low. At my 19 week scan we saw DD kick quite a bit, but I didn't feel a thing.
