i have been vegie for more than 16 years, but the smell of chicken is so appealling at the moment. i can't eat big chunks, but eating any is a big step for me.

Ah yes... kate just reminded me... i was vegetarian for years before being preg for the first time... then i started to eat fish and chicken... the smell of red meat never tempted me though... it actually turned me off even more... i suspect i have issues digesting mammal protein.
I hated orange juice, carrots & tomatos until I was pregnant. I have had them since having DS but they don't have the same appeal now.
I absolutely hated bacon until I fell pregnant with Juliette & even after I still enjoy it.
I have always hated Strawberry Milk - than when i was pregnant i woke up one morning and told DH i really wanted some strawberry Milk - he just laughed at me and didn't believe me until i went to the servo and got some strawberry milk and drunk all of it - for the rest of my pregnancy i loved it! than i had Miss B - DH brought it for me and i almost vomited at the thought - things went back to normal and to this day i hate it again and can't stomach the thought of it!
Avacados with DD1 - couldn't stand them before that pg and couldn't get enough of them while I was. Still cannot do without them so that has stuck with me.
Asparagus with DS - exactly the same story - couldn't stand them before and then I couldn't get enough of them and still can't get enough of them.
I am thankful to those pregnancies for introducing me some of the yummiest foods ever created![]()
i used to hate soda water and could never understand how anyone could drink it ... now i drink it straight from the bottle!!
I was the same with soda water and I still love it now. And cold drinks. Not actually a food, but when pg with DD, I had to have drinks COLD with a tonne of ice in it, Before being pg, I would drink tepid drinks, but now I still love cold drinks.
In the last week I have been eating these round things called 'Peaches' huh! I have always seen em at Coles and thought 'erk I'd rather buy a rockmelon' never had a peach before in my life! I walked past em last week and the smell made my mouth water..so there I was at the checkout with a basketfull of these things babbling to the 18 year old girl about how I'd never eaten one..
This pregnancy I can't handle fried capsicum, when I see the slimy skin it makes me squirm so I have to stay away from it
