Smile Any foods you hated then LOVED when you were pregnant??

I couldn't stand the taste of hommus before I was pregnant. Now I can't get enough of it. I'm sitting here having hommus and lavosh crackers for lunch!

Were there any foods you couldn't stand and the LOVED when you were pregnant?

For me, it's Marmite! Could not abide the stuff before - the smell of it when DH would have some on his cheese on toast made me gag. But now....different story! I think it must be the real savoury aspect of it. I have to be in the mood for it, but a piece of cheese with a covering is yummo!

Olives! But I have liked them ever since my first pregnancy.

I stopped having sugar in coffee when I was pregnant the first time too.

I also develop this weird obsession for parsley in iced water. I don't know what is is about the combination but they do THINGS to me

plus carrots. I hate carrots normally, but when i'm pregnant I eat them raw, unpeeled, straight out of the bag!

And lettuce. Ice berg lettuce which I normally thing is boring, becomes the most delicious thing - go figure.

    Pork.
When I was pregnant with DS2, my DH suspected that I might be pregnant before I tested due to the fact that we went out for dinner at our local RSL and I turned to him and told him I wanted the pork ribs for dinner. The look he gave me was priceless. I hate pork and I especially hate ribs... gross!
Oh and pork crackling. I actually used to get grossed out over people eating it and would tell them so. But when pregnant with DS2 I craved it like crazy. I can't eat any of the above things since having him though.

Ah yes... kate just reminded me... i was vegetarian for years before being preg for the first time... then i started to eat fish and chicken... the smell of red meat never tempted me though... it actually turned me off even more... i suspect i have issues digesting mammal protein.

I hated orange juice, carrots & tomatos until I was pregnant. I have had them since having DS but they don't have the same appeal now.
