    OK - well I hope it goes well for her. If she's had mc before she knows it's too early to know for sure. But she may be able to tell from the symptoms she has, based on prior experience. I thought my bub was a boy - just a feeling - but couldn't get verified. My Mum's said she always knew from conception too. I had a good idea about 4-5DPO but wasn't 100%

    I hope this one sticks for her.

    Why don't you ask her?

    Yeah I would ask her too. Just word it non threatening, like - "Wow you are so early in your pregnancy, how do you know its a girl already?!? I had to wait til 20 weeks to find out mine!"

    I really want to know now Mel, you better follow through with the goods lol!

    I was going to ask her, but couldn't think of the right way to word it without coming across as being... I dunno.. sceptical? Everyone here knows I'm soooo not tactful at the best of times!!! LOL

    I really want to know too, but maybe it's best to leave it. If she's pg again after mc, she'll be worried enough about it.

    oO;

    Maybe she has a "i can feel it in me waters" sort of thing going on...

    I can honestly say when I conceived this one I knew something was happening in there not long after O, but I didn't trust myself... you just never know

    Novel idea here - just ask her how she knows the gender this early (and then come back and tell us, as we are all dying to know now)

    PMSL.. I'm not going to ask.

    Maybe I could use the chinese predictors to see what my bub is though - I'm dying to know..

    that's what I was thinking this morning. I still want to know how she knows, but agree it would be weird to ask

    I think this is supposed to be a good one: Chinese Baby Calendar to Predict Baby Gender by Chinese age and woman conception month
    The thing with Chinese years, is you are aged 1 when you born and it's based on lunar eyars. According to the Chinese calendar, I'm already 37

    Yep - just abit off the topic, but my sis's little bub is half Malaysian, and she had her "first" birthday a couple of weeks after she was born, as that was her first Chinese Lunar birthdyay

    Too weird! If you are chatting with her again, I too would love to know this. I always sit on the side of caution but it's probably way too early for her to be telling people the sex, hopefully she's not out there buying heaps of pink things if she's only got an inkling and it hasn't been confirmed by doctors.

    According to the chinese calendar I am having a girl...but should I add a year to my 'normal' age????
