    Baby Carriers

    Hi there,
Does anyone have any recommendations on baby carriers? Is there much difference between the top of the range (i.e $160+) and the cheaper versions?

I used a baby bjorn with DS, and while it was a life saver back then, having done a bit more reading I wouldn't use that type of carrier with #2. DS was a real velcro baby - couldn't put him down anywhere!! And he loved being close contact with me.
The better baby carriers are the ones where the baby's bottom can rest below the knees (not legs straight out like the BB). I've heard ring slings are excellent, as are hug a bubs. This time roung I've bought a microfleece peanut shell sling which is fitted to my size. It looks beautiful and very cosy and i can't wait to try it out!!
For a little bit older babies I can't reccommend the Ergo highly enough. DS just LOVED it - we used it for about 18 months in place of a pram. Only stopped using it so much recently since being pregnant and not wanting to carry the weight and the belt around my tummy made me feel sick when i had m/s.

I had a HAB and hated it so much i sold it. Now we have a carrier i got from Target but for the life of me dont know what it is called but is similar to the Baby Bjorn. I love it, Chelsea loves it and DH enjoys wearing it. Very comfy and holds weight up to 3-15kg.
