I just bought a whole heap of goodies off Bump, Baby and Beyond. They have all the top maternity brands at reasonable prices. Sizes can be limited for popular items though and bargain sell out quick so I recommend getting something if you really like it cause I've already missed out on several items by leaving it for a day or two.

A friend of mine, also pregnant with her second, has ordered quite a bit from this site and said their size charts are pretty accurate and the clothing is great. I'll give you all an update when my order arrives this week.

Bonds maternity/ breastfeeding singlet tops are great... and I must say that on eBay there are a great variety and really worth a search... most sellers have a return policy too, so you can just RTS the package if you're not happy so risk free! I actually found a couple of nice ones from best n less (surprising hey) and you could always look for specialist maternity stores in your area or if you buy pregnancy mags they have websites in there you could look at.

I do really think that there really really needs to be more of a variety and quality maternity clothes available... There just seems to mainly be bits and pieces from Kmart and those types of retailers (although agree their brand does have some fab basics but it really depends on the day you go kinda thing.) not even myer has a maternity section for clothes for goodness sake! Ah, gotta love the cheaper stores and online

... Mmm and I forgot to mention that it's worth looking at normal clothes and finding ones that are relatively tight fitting (not loose on bottom is what I preferred when round) and long. You can really create a stunning maternity wardrobe without even buying any maternity clothes!

I'd love to know where I can get a maternity ball dress at the last minute?

Phe when do you need it by?

There are some dresses in city chic (they usually do over size 14 clothes but some of them can suit mat dresses. Did you see my dress I wore on the boat? That was a city chic dress... On fb have a squiz) that are quite nice that will definately accomodate your growing bump.. xx

I got my order yesterday from Bump Baby and Beyond and the clothes are gorgeous! They are all brand new top maternity labels . The only issue is I over estimated my size so all but 3 things were too big! I've sent the other things back for a refund (available within 14 days of an online order) as they didn't have my size to exchange - bummer. Now I know my size though, I'm going to place a new order. The only issue with this though is having to pay postage back and fourth so you certainly don't want to be mucking around with returns too often.

I'd certainly recommend this site but if you want to order, try to get your measurements as accurate as possible and or try the brands on in a shop so you know what fits

Phebee - try the above site, if you have time for it to arrive in the post that is. Otherwise go for a standard maxi dress or a baby doll style. I'm guessing your bump isn't too big yet. We had a wedding a few weeks ago when I was 23 weeks and a maxi from my 'normal' wardrobe fit beautifully and it was so comfy and looked great with my bump. We have another wedding in 3 weeks but I'm getting too big for my normal dresses now so I'm on the hunt (tomorrow!) for a proper maternity evening dress.

For those in Melbourne, Bump Baby & Beyond have a factory/shop in Niddrie/Essendon. They have sales there every few months that are good too.

Thanks ladies, yes it is this weekend. Only got tickets last week. I've found a recycling shop that hires out maternity ball dresses so I'm going to have a look there this arvo, but if I can't find one I'll definitely try City Chic

Taurean - Thanks for suggesting Bump, Baby and Beyond. My order arrived today and the clothes are great. One top may be a little big, but I don't want to go back and forth with postage in case the lower size is too small. It'll be fine for around home (I'm not going to complain when it cost $14.95). I have to say it was probably one of my most successful internet clothes purchases.

I bought 2 stretchy, extra long tank tops from Glassons yesterday for $20 - they're super comfy and even at 35 weeks they still have plenty of room to stretch. They had HEAPS of bright colours too

I keep an eye out on liquidation websites ozsale, buyinvite and brands exclusive (no space) which have very regular sales for maternity brands Soon, Ripe and Pea in a Pod.

I recently won a competition and in the mail today I got - a $100 gift voucher to Bump, Baby & Beyond

Perfect timing because leaving the buttons undone on my pants wasn't going to work for much longer, and I seriously have no tops that I can wear to work. I'm doing a little happy dance today

Also, I was just in at Kmart at Werribee plaza and they still have some basic t-shirts, and a few different pairs of pants, some roll down top and some to sit under the bump.

Awesome SareBear! If you can get to the shop do it, cos they often have great bargains that aren't on the website.
