    Beta levels and high Progesterone?

    Hello,

Well I am a little curious as to my test results as the Progesterone seems high?

It is 5weeks 3 days since LMP , however I only have 26 day cycles which could throw out the gestational age by 4 days.

so does that (for testing purposes) make me in a 6 week range?

    my HCG was 19000
    and my Progesterone was 84.

I have googled it over and over and it seems it's more of a 2nd trimester level, the only answer I can get is its possibly a molar (no other symptoms to match though) or a multiple pregnancy (1 is plenty I am not greedy)

Ha to think I was worried my levels would show a miscarriage instead I am worried they are high or at least the prog is high.

I go for another beta on friday and a Scan on the 19th.

anyone have any input into this?

HCG levels are a very inacurate way of checking how pregnant you are. The main focus should be on them rising and not on an individual number.
Your HCG is fine. And I dont think that you are having twins.

Mine was 178,000 at 8 weeks so beat that!

Everything turned out juuuust fine... It wasn't twins.

Everybody is different, and each pregnancy is different as well.

Just want you to know the unit they measure it in Aust is different to the one they use in the rest of the world. To convert ours to theirs divide your figure by 3.18. We use nmol/L and they use ng/ml. So your prog is really 26, which is just right at 5 weeks.
