Hi Kayangel, i had alot of sharp stabbing pains early on in my pregnancy, in the same region you describe. (Interestingly enough when i had 2 m/c i didn't have any pain until after i started bleeding.) So hopefully you are just having normal pregnancy pains.

In the first few weeks we often feel pains and niggles down there as our uterus starts to grow and stretch to accomodate the growing baby. Most of the time it is completely normal, but if it is starting to get really painful or you are starting to bleed then go and see a Dr about it.

    HI,

I reckon that you should go an get it checked out. I did get some pains early on, but they were not sharp, more like aches that came and went (like period pain). these pains i was told were as a result of ligaments stretching etc etc, so hopefully it is just that. Some people dot feel anything this early but i certianly did and i did think that it was just my period coming as it was so early one and i really wasnt pregnant.
Hopefully it is nothing, but you are better to go and make sure that there is nothing going on, if nothing else but peice of mind...

    HI Kayangel
I also think you should get it checked. It is probably nothing but its worth spending a little time with your midwife to settle your mind

Those early weeks are so scarey aren't they? Big :hugs: to you.

Try not to be too worried though as it may well be nothing related to your pregnancy. Or it might be just part of everything normal taking place. Have you got a GP or someone that you could go and talk about it with, because it's probably worth going and seeing someone to either get a bit of reassurance or to get some insight into what it might be..

I hope you are able to relax and take it easy, and that those pains disappear very soon for you so your mind can be at ease..

Hi, I had lots of sharp pains early on. I even ended up in the bathroom floor and hallway floor due to the intensity of it. Everything was fine. For peace of mind you should go to your doctor and they might do an early scan.

    Hi Kayangel
I also had very sharp pains early on. Like sweetpeajan, I ended up in the floor due to the intensity of it. I had a scan to check if everything was okay. Everything was fine. I think you should get checked out, if nothing else it will give you piece of mind.
