    Unhappy Bloated

I have only just found out I am pregnant - prob about 4 weeks but I already feel sooooooo bloated. I can barely suck my stomach in Anyway is this normal? Did anyone else in their second preg feel big so quickly? Any remedies? Other than not eating!!

    Hi,

I am about 7wks (first scan tomorrow) and I feel the same. I am constantly bloated, feel really huge and dont feel like eating a hell of alot as the thought of food makes me feel sick. this is also my second.

Hopefully it goes away soon, although im not holding my breath

Jordie, you are not alone. I have my good days and bad days but sometimes I feel like a blimp and then some days not so bad. Can you link it to something you eat? I find if I eat too much protein or just too much in general, that does it for me. Good luck.

Same as me. I'm not quite 4 weeks yet (so hope it's not a chemical pregnancy) but I am SO bloated. I feel like I have put on at least 2-3 kilos overnight. I'm also cramping up a bit. I feel things happening! How 'bout you? Any other symptoms?

    Hi guys,
Fyi the CM (chinese med!) take on bloating in early pregnancy is often related to the pattern that causes morning sickness. So much of your energy is channelled to bub there is simply not enough left to do everything else you're used to doing, including digestive processes! Something has to give and often this is it. If you dont have morning sickness rejoice
Try eating only food that is very easily digested, by that I mean limit raw food, cooking saves us lots of digestive energy, as does chewing (chew your food to the point its like liquid), also do less work, lots of new mums, be it 1st or 2nd or 3rd...bubs, dont stop to contemplate the amount of extra energy they need to do the same things AND grow a bub. Its a lot.
As usual, dont be shy to give acupuncture and herbs a go, quick results are often a nice surprise.
