Unhappy Booooo - No Acupuncture for me.

Had an appointment for AP today, and love the guy that I saw. Got started, and about 5 minutes in I started to feel dizzy. So out came all the needles, had a drink, got some sort of massage to "bring me back" and then we changed position and tried again, this time with less clothing in case it was overheating that was the issue.
And again I started feeling hot and dizzy. They pulled everything out again, and it took even longer to get my blood going properly again.

So I ended up settling for some shiatsu massage - ow but good. But sad that AP is not for me. I was so excited about it.

What were you having the acupuncture for?

That's a shame! But because acupuncture works so directly and intensely in the meridians it can be a bit much when pg I think. Shiatsu is AWESOME though very nurturing and grounding. A more gentle way to get all your energy balanced out. If it hurts too much you might want to try a different practitioner... there are a couple of types of Shiatsu and Zen (or Masunaga) Shiatsu used much more broad pressure than Namikoshi style, but still works on a very deep level. Very relaxing! Also great for inducing labour if you go too far over. Enjoy it!

Apparently my blood pressure just dropped right off.

Kaz - just having it to get all in order. Really keen to avoid that deadline, and the acupuncturist has a 37-40 week regime that he does. Not strictly induction acupuncture, just a series of treatments that gradually work up to that.

The Shiatsu didn't hurt so much I wouldn't have it again.
