I think yoy should start thinking bub will come at 42 weeks rather than at 38
Most first pregnancies babies come past 'due date' and it is a lot better for your mental state if you prepare to have bubs late rather than 'early'. A lot of babies engage quite early in the third trimester, DS did at around 34 weeks "tight & low", and wasn't born until almost 40 weeks.
Relax! and try not to convince yourself that he will come early, those last few weeks drag on and you don't want to set yourself up to believe that he'll come early, because then they'll take evn longer!
