Exclamation Bubs Heart Rate at 9 week ultrasound

Can anyone tell me what their bubs heart was around the 9 week mark?
I have a friend who had a scan today, she's 9w2d along and bubbas heart rate was only 137bpm. She had a scan a week ago at 8w1d and the heart rate was 167bpm.
From what i understand the heart rate will peak around 9w and then will slowly start to drop, but this is a drop of over 30bpm in a week! Could this be a mistake by the ultrasound technician? or do the think the heart rate is perfectly fine?
My bubs heart rate at 8w4d was 174bpm and then at 10w4d 178bpm. Even now at almost 25 weeks it sits around 140bpm.
Appreciate all feedback, good or bad.
    Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't be worried & it's unlikely to be a mistake. If the heart rate was regular, strong it's all okay. A fetal heartbeat at that gestation (as all) will fluctuate and change. Depending on movement, what the mother has or hasn't eaten etc etc.

Thanks for your replies ladies. She will have another scan next week so only time will tell I guess. Bubs is measuring well so that has got to be a good sign.
This has been a very long awaited pregnancy and I want so badly for everything to work out well for them.

At my 6 & 12 week scans with this bub it was around 125bpm. Completely normal and nothing to worry about.
ETA: then at my 20 week scan heartrate was 167bpm.

Just a quick update to this thread.

My friend had another scan yesterday (10w 1d) and bubbys heart rate was back up in the 170's & everything in looking perfect. YAY!

So I'm thinking lasts weeks HR was taken wrong.

I don't agree Rachel that it was "taken wrong"... It's normal whichever end. Heart rates do not remain static. Both are very normal!

That's okay Inanna, I think you're right though it was a bit of worry about nothing. It's just odd for it to drop 30 BPM one week and then be up again the following week. Bub is growing perfectly and that's the main thing.

Your baby’s heart rate changes in relationship to its activity. So if your baby is sleeping that the heart rate will be around 110. If it is kickboxing then it will be up around 160 or so.
