Congratulations hun. Having two close together has advantages and disadvantages. My boys are 19 months apart, and while the first few months were hard work, we did get by, and now the boys are best friends. I love how close they are, and now at this stage, having them so close is really easy as they are happy to play with the same things, do the same activities and watch the same DVDs.

I don't think there is such a thing as the "right" gap between siblings - you just do the best you can whatever the age difference is.
