I did lunch out with close friends with dd2 and dinner with dd3. It's was more about catching up with friends before I got busy with a Newborn.
What a lovely thing to do for your friend![]()
I have a friend who is 36 weeks pg with baby #4. It was an unplanned and unexpected pregnancy, and she has gotten rid of alot of her baby things. I have only known her a fairly short time- around 6 months now, but we have gotten fairly close. I would like to throw her a little celebration in honor of her baby girl coming into the world soon.
I was thinking of doing something fairly simple, hire a small conference room at our local golf club (it's free) and decorate it in lovely frilly, pink stuff (she's a girly girl, pg with her 3rd girl!). Maybe getting some sandwiches made by the local shop and some little nibbles from the club. And I will make her a cake.
If you have had subsequent babies, and had a baby shower/ celebration for the pregnancy, what did you do? How was it organised? I don't know if I should just make it a baby shower (I'm not sure if she's had one for her other children). And do all of that sort of shower-ey stuff, or just make it in celebration of having another baby. I think it would be a lovely opportunity to celebrate her last pregnancy, and also for her to get a few small gifts to help her out with buying new things.
What do you think? Any suggestions??

I had some new friends (like, I'd only known them a couple of months!) host a Blessingway for me for this (2nd) pregnancy. It is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. Do it. She'll love it.
On another note - you almost gave me a heart attack with the thread title!! Thought you'd been holding out on me![]()
I have planned a baby shower and I'm on baby #4.
I never had one for any of my previous children and this is my DH first bio child and our last child!!
I planned one not for the gifts but because I'm super excited and want to celebrate!! I have even colour themed the shower in DH fav footy teams colours!! Can not wait, lots of cute foods, games and personalized cake have been organized as well.
I think its a great idea and I'm sure she will love it.
