Lynn, I too am disappointed that the chiro made those comments. As a health professional I am curious to understand what he means by "a twisted pelvis". Has he explained it to you? It's not possible to "twist" your pelvis without it breaking or being incredibly malformed. Remember that it is very normal for all of those joints to be very loose and often ouchy in pregnancy. Of coruse that doesn't mean that you should be in pain through your pregnancy - many things can help alleviate it.
I have a massage every fortnight and this helps me somewhat and my friend the osteo which for me has worked wonders through all of my pregnancies.
I fractured my coccyx and I also have a prolapsed L4 L5 disc (can you tell I am a nurse!) I have found some relief from chiro but I must say osteopathy I found for me to be far superior and much gentler. If YOU are happy with your chiro continue but if you feel he doesn't have much experience with pregnant mamas then perhaps hunt further.
I too have heard many women rave about Bowen Therapy but I can'tgive any personal advice as I haven't used it...
