    Chocolate bavarian cake?

Was just wondering if anyone knew if it were ok to eat this during pregnancy?

    Thanks!

generally I would say yes, as although it is not cooked, the egg yolks s used are added to a hot mixture, so they are for all intents and purposes cooked. The egg whites are then combined with the hot mixture also...

A small serve of this would be no big deal - and very yummy! However I wouldn't recommend going for a second slice, as anything with cocoa in it contains caffeine - which can over-stimulate the baby's central nervous system as they are so small.

I agree with jellybean - just don't go back for seconds. You can happily send the rest to me and I will eat it regardless of the caffine Did you know that actually give caffine injections to preterm babies I was sooo jealous coz all I wanted was a good cup of coffee
