GO have fun! i went to 2 heavy metal concerts while preg, was only first trimester though and all was fine! i did end up losing the bub but it was nothing to do with that.
Definitley go! I'd be more concerned about being bumped and pushed than the noise. We're going to see Coldplay next week and my friend is preggers too (24 weeks) so we have seated tickets.
I'm only early days at the moment but we have been to several concerts already and have more to come. I just hope my little one loves music as much as I do!

I'm convinced that they do!! I've read heaps of things that say babies can recognise music played to them in the womb, and that if you're, say, a punk rock fan, your bub will enjoy listening to your favourite bands over the recommended bub-friendly things like classical.
I know DD is a big fan of my favourite music, obviously she has her own taste in music because I put on Channel [V] and she will dance to the cr@ppiest music going, but her real favourites are things that I enjoy as well - she loves bands like Paramore, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil and HIM as well as Lady GaGa and Britney Spears (omg she loooooves Britney lol). I remember being pregnant with her and driving around with DH one day, and he listens to (awful) gangsta rap and techno (and always turned up so loud you can hear him coming from three suburbs away) and DD started kicking in time to the bass![]()
Most books and things I've read recommend playing music to bub while they're in your belly, and to give them lots of exposure to music before and after birth - humans are really big on music and it benefits them in a lot of ways. So just keep listening to lots of music and you can guarantee your bub will be a big music fan![]()
gothmum - dont u just love gangsta rap and techno.... NOT
well my DF loves death metal and all these weird genres, funeral metal, doom metal, mostly just alot of screaming and drilling guitars, bubs will think im on a construction site, i told him he will have to tone it down especially with some of the language in those songs, im one for heavy metal, pantera, metallica, disturbed, nevermore, but my DF is just way off!
I don't see any problem with going as long as you're comfortable!!
I played gigs up until about 5 months and only stopped because of m/s. Have been to a few of DH's shows since then but have had to put a ban on it myself purely for the comfort factor- the little one wriggles and kicks and generally goes nuts at shows and I just can't sit through them. It's crazy!! Thankfully SO FAR she seems to have a good taste in music. She'll probably rebel and get into crazy metal or reggae or pop or something. Or become a surgeon.
^ Hahaha yeah, I sort of dabble in a fair few genres (including some pretty heavy stuff like your partner!!) but I can't stand gangsta rap, country and western and that 'r&b' crud like that Chris Brown sings...![]()
I don't even worry about language too much, the kids don't seem to notice swearing in songs unless it's really prolific!!
haha yeah half the time u cant understand what they are screaming anyway! but i must say that cannibal corpse band is a bit too much even for me! dont know if u have heard of them though, and yeah that chris brown music r n b whatever its called aint my cup of tea! glad to find a fellow metal mumma!
