    Cravings

Just wondering if nyone knows if specific cravings (or food type cravings) relate to either a boy or girl or it doesn't matter.

With DD I couldn't stand cheese and loved Red Rock Deli Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream chips - had to be that brand nothing else worked and i almost wa sin tears one day when my local supermarket didn't have them. Oh and of course there was chocolate (ok so it was more that i wanted it rather then craved but no need to tell hubby that one lol)

This time round i have been craving Sweet Chilli and CHeese bread - I'm not normally one for sweet chilli either - rely on it was ice cream and also plain M&M's.

So could this mean another girl or not - I understand that it isn't scientific more just curiosity

It doesn't actually matter, apparently, but with DS I was always craving salt and steak, and with DD it was sugar and onions. I never even really liked onions before I was pregnant, so it was strange for me to get middle-of-the-night cravings for onion rings

This is my third girl and each time I've craved savoury - mainly salt - and had varying degrees of how much sweet I can stomach. I have had very different feelings each time though towards coffee (great first time, ok second and can't stand it this time), milk (hated it first and second, can't get enough this time), ice cream etc. I really do think its different each time, and definitely not an indication of gender.

I vote that it doesn't matter - but I also think 'old wives tales' don't just get made up from nowhere

Both times I've craved sweet things when my natural tastes are very savoury and both times I've carried girls.

I don't have a boy to compare though - although a friend of mine who was pregnant with me both times craved sweets like me the first time (girl) and definitely more savoury this time - mainly potato chips lol (boy).
