    Do these maternity supports work?

In my last two pregnancies I've had quite a bit of trouble with back pain (despite exercising daily to try to strengthen those muscles). I'm really hoping that I can find something to help that this time around, but I'm not too thrilled with the look of many of the maternity support belts and bands. Velcro, straps, buckles, blegh. They look awkward and bulky and not too comfortable. BUT, if that's what it takes, then I might have to give it a shot!

I did just come across something that looks better, but I'm not sure if it will actually do what I'm hoping it will. It's a Blanqi Body Styler maternity support, and it looks a lot more smooth and comfortable. Has anyone tried them? Do they work? Or should I try the "regular" strap and velcro kind? The reviews on the Blanqi one look great, but I'm never sure if I should trust them 100%. A lot of people said they wore it to bed, which would be great for those round ligament pains when turning over.

I'd love to hear some first hand reviews of this or any other pregnancy support!
    Thanks!

I use src preggo shorts to (when its not to.stinking hot!) Love them to bits but I don't really use them for back pain... Have got a big fat velcro one from my sister for that but havnt had to try it yet, my sil (the one that had baby on Mon.) borrowed it for a bit but said it wasn't that great put too much pressure on her belly to be tight enough for her back I think. Have you looked into robozo (sp?) wrapping? Or osteo, chrio, physio? Physio is what my sil ended up doing said it was WONDERFUL! sorry I don't know anything about the brand you're looking ay. Hope you find some relief soon though.

I used the SRC pregnancy shorts and a velcro belt during my third pregnancy, until I got onto a great chiro who does a lot of work with pregnant women. She was the only person who was able to relieve the pelvic instability/back pain. I saw her weekly from 30 weeks til bubs was born. I then wore SRC recovery shorts. They're pretty expensive but they do sell well on ebay.

I do see a chiropractor, but it didn't seem to help all that much. Physio might be an option, I guess. I've never seen a physiotherapist before, but I'll maybe look into that if it gets bad again.
I'll see about those SRC shorts/leggings. I also have varicose veins, so I was a little nervous about getting something that might constrict on my upper legs - don't want anything making those worse! I don't think I've seen them for sale anywhere here (Canada) but I'll check e-bay. Thanks for the suggestions!

Src shorts are GOOD for varicose veins! I have a rather horrible large one in an *ahem* intimate lady area and its the main reason I bought them last time. I think they sell to the US so could likely get to Canada also??
