It's probably an involuntary thing, right? But if I catch myself doing it or thinking about it, I try and avoid it, I don't exactly know why. At home - don't care.
There were two quite pregnant ladies in the supermarket today and both of them were rubbing their bellies and I found it amusing. It just looked kind of funny.
Yep. I do. And I am always kind of protecting it from all of those shopping crazed people who have no idea of anything going on around them. I often poke him (baby) back to like skybie says, he's always poking something somewhere that is unwelcome or painful, lol!
i could never bring myself to do it in public because i felt i could be shoving it into some poor woman's face who has been TTC for ages or worst has m/c ... so yep i just couldn't go there but that's just how i am ... needless to say a so-called friend did it to myself and my DP when she very well knew we had TTC for over 3years, yep she would do it seriously at every given moment to the point my DP said do we have to visit them anymore i can't stand it
i loved rubbing my pregnant belly first thing in the morning in the shower, like PZ said it was my way of connecting with bub and i would sing a little song to her too
I've done it since finding out I was pregnant - not only does it feel nice, it sends the message to everyone else that I'm not fat, I'm pregnant til I get a proper belly Though now my belly is getting bigger, rounder, and more preggy looking, I do it more than before. I love feeling like I'm holding my bub in some way
More like rub sore back, push foot down out of ribs, shuffle around heavily and try not to pass wind.
I did have a woman race up to me and embrace my belly without asking when I was 40+1 and I didn't appreciate it, but I don't think I ever, ever rubbed my own belly!
I do it to my cute 11 week belly. I don't really notice, it is just comforting, and I'm usuall thinking about the baby while I rub, it helps me connect
I do, especially on the train so the stupid business men that hide behind their newspapers when they notice someone getting on the train that might need their seat.
unfortunately it is usually someone old or a woman that gets up for me!!!
Once i had someone in her 70's get up for me when i was heavily pregnant, i couldnt take her seat, the two young guys next to her just buried their heads in their newspapers even more and i think i burnt a layer of skin off rubbing my belly that day!!!
I do it a little bit. It's not a showing off thing at all, just me feeling how my belly is changing. It's nice having a hard belly instead of my usual soft flab!
I put my hand on my belly where baby is moving, just to feel them better. Possibly looks a bit like rubbing. When I had my son in the hug-a-bub as a baby I was always touching him then too so I don't think there's anything wrong with touching baby in your belly.
I always rubbed my belly as a way of bonding with my baby. She would always have her bum sticking out so i would rub it and poke it and i ALWAYS talked to her. But i dont think i was overboard with. Because i had braxton hicks since 25 weeks id rub my belly whenever i had one.
