great thanks guys i knew i wasnt 2 weeks !! haha my doctor is silly !! think i might change doctors since he doesnt know what his talking about do you think this is a good idea will they have to send me for a blood test all over again or can my new doctor get information from my old doctor (current doc) thanks again
You should be able to get your records sent over to your new Dr when you get one.
You'll probably have to sign a consent form.
I'd even wait until your about 6 weeks before you go to your next Dr. That way you can go for a dating scan. That way you can be sure how far along you actually are.
Not all pregnancies are dated from your LMP. Mine for example cannot be as I ovulated later in the month than normal. And my hcg levels and dating scan backed that up.
So maybe go back and ask him about it. If the hcg levels are indicating your only early on, it may be possible you ovulated later than normal so going by your LMP may not be accurate.
it was exactly 28 days since my first ladies on the 25th of may.. so very normal cycle but thanks will go to a new doctor but do i wait for 2 weeks or 4?? lol so confused my doc said to come back in a month by his calculations 6 weeks(so 4 weeks from now) but by my calculation which im sure is correct that only 2 weeks time :0
hehehe my gosh im so glad i posted on here thanks everyone for the support i knew i couldnt be 2 weeks urine tests dont show your preg at 2 weeks silly doctor.. i am located in logan (southside of brissy). could you suggest a doctor??
i guess what your doc was saying is that you ovulated about 2 weeks beforehand - which makes sense - he just didn't word it right!
i would wait another 2 ish weeks (makes you 6weeks) before seeing the doctor - given the confusion with dates by this GP you may be sent for a dating scan
oh, and LMP is fine to go by IF you have a 28 day cycle - if i went by LMP for my two natural pregnancies (which i lost at around 5 and anywhere from 9-14 weeks) i would have been as much as nine months on that theory!
